Restoring Corey's Truck

Dear Supporters,

For the past month we have been working on trying to get Corey’s yellow S10 cleaned up and in good running condition. This got to be more involved than we realized.The truck had some body damage from vandalism because we had magnetic signs of Corey on the doors of the truck.

(people viewed him as a murderer: we received hate mail in 2006/2007) Over the past five years the paint has started fading and pealing. We found a local man who works on the side from his home that would offer up the labor for a much reduced fee than anyone in town. We just buy the parts and paint at cost.

We started this project in hopes of Corey coming home this year or by next year at the latest. Corey loves his truck and that is all he was left with after being in Iraq. The Army claimed that they could not find any of this belongings after his incarceration in June of 2006. When I say he has nothing I mean it. The only reason he has the truck is it was left with us when he went to Iraq. He looks through magazines for trucks and dreams of how to fix up his truck. It’s all he thinks of .Most men can relate if you love cars & trucks or have your boy toys.

We wanted to surprise Corey for when he comes home and we have to believe he will come home. We want to give him something to look forward to. Corey has been through enough, we feel he deserves this one thing to give him a little happiness.
